COURSE IN DRAMATICS

The college has introduces the following two courses for the students having keen interest in the Art of Theater & Drama.

1. Proficiency Certificate Course in Dramatics (P.C.C.D)

2) Diploma in Dramatics (D.D.)

Course Details :

1) Proficiency Certificate Course in Dramatics (P.C.C.D)

  V  Eligibility for Admission :

           i) Students of Junior college in Art, Commerce and Science are eligible for admission.

            ii) Students of B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. are also eligible for admission

            iii) Students of M.A., M.Com. and M.Sc. are also eligible for admission.

Note : Students have to produce true copies of T.C. and Marks Memo of last qualifying examination

  V Course Contents :

            1) Dramatics Literature and Theater History

            2) Acting ( Theory and Practical)

            3) Theatre  Techniques and Direction

            4) Participation in Departmental Production

     V Examination pattern :

           This is a course of one year with university examination for 650 marks with following distribution.

         a) Written examination          :  200 Marks

         b) Practical examination        :  200 Marks

         c) Project Book                   :  120 Marks

         d) Internal evaluation            :    80 Marks

         e) Viva-Voce                       :    50 Marks    

2) Diploma in Dramatics (D.D.)

  V  Eligibility for Admission :

            Students passing proficiency certificate course in dramatics (P.C.C.D.) are eligible for

            admission to this diploma course.

  V Course Contents :

            1)  Dramatics Literature and Theatre History

            2)  Acting ( Theory and Practical)

            3)  Theatre Techniques (Stage Craft)

            4)  Production and Direction

            5)  Participation in Departmental Production

  V Examination pattern :

            This is a course of one year with university examination for 950 marks with following distribution.

         a) Written examination          :  450 Marks

         b) Practical examination        :  200 Marks

         c) Project Book                   :  150 Marks

         d) Internal evaluation            :  100 Marks

         e) Viva-Voce                       :    50 Marks
